With the October issue of the Flaming Rose Journal
the Season turns
and Autumn unfolds
in a variegated tapestry
of flaming red, yellow, orange and gold.
Everything is changing...
the Leaves, the Trees, the Earth,
the Air, the Sunlight, the Sky
Everything is transforming
silently slowly
wholly
in moments
of Pure Autumnal Being
|
|
|
a leaf falls
drifts
in cool autumn wind
the mind stops thinking
suspends judgment
momentarily
and simply is
the wind
the leaf
the falling
the autumn
unfolding
unfolding
simply unfolding

Mountain Vistas
|
|
|
|
|
vistas
of blue mountains
and sky
fill the eyes
and mind
with images and evocations
of pure creative joy
as always
always
|
|
|
|
great billowing profusions
of white clouds
moving
low to the ground
swallowing green hills
and mountains
moment
by eternal
transient moment
spontaneously
human sensibilities
and perception
of life and earth
correspond
in one whole manifestation
of beauty
a continual new creation
and rebirth
moment
by beautiful moment
feelings
of beauty and joy
arise first
from the earth
itself
through sense and sight
words emerge
later
to describe
what the spirit
of life
inherently wishes
to express
|
|
|
|
golden aspen and cottonwood leaves
shimmering
with life
the pure golden energy
of sunlight
|
|
|
|
coming down
from the mountains
the cottonwoods
in the valley
by the river
are turning gold
and autumn
is
finally everywhere
apparent
here and now
|
|
|
|
subtly
so slowly
the aspen leaves
change
from green
to gold
there is no one moment
when summer ends
and autumn begins
life time
season and color
blend
and flow
|
|
|
|
snow is falling
on the top
of the mountains
and winter
is already present
within the autumn wind
blowing
blowing
with ever growing purpose
and natural intent
